#4 New In: Primark & Miss Selfridge

Helllooooo!
I went SHOPPINGGGGG!

So yesterday me and my mum decided to hop on the train and head out shopping for the day in Cardiff, so I thought I'd show you some of what I got. As the title suggests I only really bought stuff from Primark and Miss Selfridge as I couldn't be bothered to wait most of the time in the queues for the changing rooms and then to pay and most of the things I liked didn't have my size anyway.

Primark Oversived T-shirts- Both £6

In all honesty I wasn't too sure about these when I first picked them up just because they are SO oversized and I'm so small. I got them in a size 6 and they are pretty much like really baggy dresses on me. The varsity trend is big at the moment though and these types of tops are everywhere so I thought I'd give them a go. I quite like oversized clothing for those days where you're not really in the mood for having to think about what to wear and just want something comfy so I know I will definitely wear them.

Primark Black & White Aztec Print Trouser
Primark Navy Tile Print Trouser With Side Stripe
Both £12

I'm really loving printed trousers (like everyone else) at the moment and one of my favourite pieces I've been wearing recently have been my Primark elephant print trousers that I featured in my last ootd post so when I saw these, I knew I had to have them too. They're lovely and soft, as well as cool and airy for those summer  days where it's not really hot enough and you don't really feel like wearing shorts. They are really lightweight and easy to wear and I can't wait to wear them.

Primark Neon Aztec Scarf & Primark Multi Skull Print Scarf- Both £4

I'm always wearing scarves and I loved the colours in both of these so for £4 I couldn't really say no. They are so simple and easy to wear, thin and lightweight and I love the print and design on the both of them.

Primark Multi Colour Print Top-

I don't really know how to describe this top. I don't really think it's an 'aztec' type of print but similar and has lots of different sized triangles with individual prints on it. It has really cute gold buttons all down the back and is nice and lightweight. There were only 4 of these left on the rack and when I went through them none were my size but I got this regardless in a size 16 but it doesn't even look big on. Primark sizing can be really off sometimes! Nevertheless, I really like it anyway.

Miss Selfridge Lace Midi Skirt- £30, £15           Primark Large Clutch Bag With Strap- £8
                                                                       Miss Selfridge Ear Cuffs- £2 & £3

I bought the bag in Primark after trying for ages to find a bag big enough for my purse (it's one of those long rectangular ones that just doesn't fit in any clutch ever) but yet small enough to be a bag you can just pick up and go with it quickly. Well... this is it, it's a nice size to fit in just the essentials such as purse, phone, sunglasses, keys etc and has what I think is kind of a cowboy/western type pattern on.

I love all the floaty, boho type of pieces Miss Selfridge has and this skirt is so lovely on. The picture just does no do it justice. As for the Miss Selfridge ear cuffs... I bought my first ear cuff in Topshop at the begining of last ear and since then I cannot get enough of them. I think these ear cuffs are a great change to the normal long feathered earrings you see people wearing and these really suit my type of hairstyle as one of my ears is always on show. It's nice to be able add a little something to it now and then, especially when they only cost £2-£3!

I also bought a belt in Primark which I forgot to photograph and some pyjamas too!

Hope you've all had a nice day!

#4 Nails: Models Own- Luis Lemon

Models Own- Luis Lemon
From the Ice Neon Collection

How bright is this? Argh, it's sooo nice! This colour nail polish was the stand out polish for me when I popped into Boots a few weeks ago to pick up some bits and pieces when they had their 3 for 2 promotion. Neon yellow again! Got me in the mood for summer and looking forward to wearing more colour. The colour is packed into a frosted bottle and is intended to be kept cold in the fridge so that the colour will stay as fluorescent and intense and to protect it from fading. I've not done this... I don't think the family would be too happy going in for something yummy and having my nail polish's stood everywhere and so it's just kept in my nail polish stand and hasn't faded at all yet, so all is well! Good good. The only downfall I think this has, is that the finish is matte, whereas I prefer a more glossy look. Nevertheless, a top coat will do the trick and I will be picking up some more of the neons next time I'm out shopping.

What do you think of these bright neon colours?

#2 Hair: Colour, Cut, Routine

Without sounding like I'm bragging or thinking I look good, I am always getting compliments on my hair. My best friend has the same haircut as me and is also blonde (I think this is why we must have naturally gravitated together haha) and is always asking me how I get is so (as she describes) perfect. I can assure you this is not the case every day, ha. So I thought I would do a post on it and what I get done to it and how to maintain it.

Cut:
My hair is very short on one side and the back and as a result needs to trimmed on a fairly regular basis. I get it cut, trimmed and blow-dried once every five weeks at a local hairdressers just down the road from me. My hairdresser knows me and my hair well and as a result she always gets it just right for me.

Colour:
I've been blonde, blonde with a brown streak (Don't ask!), Brown, Black, and back to my natural blonde again. Recently I've been lightening it by getting the occasional set of highlights (though I've always had natural highlights and streaks through my hair) and using John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner and John Frieda's Go Blonder Lightening Spray once every other wash (The spray is great, I will be posing a review of it soon when I've come to the end of the bottle). I'm always wanting to do something to it.

Routine:
I tend to wash it every other day and have the occasional 'dry shampoo' day because I hate washing it and then it being dry, a bit frizzy and static. I'm not too fussed with what shampoo or conditioner I use usually but I've loved using the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Range because it just smelt absolutely delicious and left my hair looking well and glossy as well as the Percy & Reed Range (So good!).
After shampooing and conditioning, I spray my hair thoroughly with Tresemme's Heat Defence Spray and comb it through (occasionally as I said use a lightening spray) before blow drying it in small sections starting with the underneath of the short side and then the underneath of the longer side. I get most of the volume from the combination of the types of brushes I use as well as the way I blow dry it as I blow dry from underneath the hair as well as on top too...

...And there is is, my hair!

I hope you've enjoyed this post, I only thought about it doing it as I've just been to the hairdressers this morning. I didn't really know whether to post it or not but you never know if you don't try.
Hope you all have a great day!

OOTD: Fire & Passion

Necklace- Dorothy Perkins
Silky Jogger Trousers- Primark
Heels- New Look

Hey Guys! So I was hoping to take some ootd photo's outside today but the sun decided it had enough yesterday and didn't fancy coming out again- it's been raining non-stop! So anyway... we went for a little trip to the Cardiff City Stadium shop to get some bits for my sister in their SALLLEEEE! We got a few bits and pieces for her as extra presents for her birthday that was a few days ago.

Pretty simple outfit consisting of my new favourite necklace that I bought for £7 a few days ago in the Dorothy Perkins sale and my favourite trousers at the moment from Primark. I love the silky feel, the laid back look and the adorable elephant print. I bought them a while back after I saw them and just had to have them. They are sooooo comfortable! Think the New Look shoes only cost £5 back around Christmas time too. Bargain!

For those of you in the UK, I hope you had a great bank holiday weekend and all of you enjoy the rest of the night. I'll be all cosy watching the Britain's Got Talent's Semi Finals. Yaay. Have a nice night!

Best Of The Best: My Favourite Statement Necklaces

3. Primark Cord Pendant Necklace
6. Zara Blue & Teal Bead Statement Necklace

I love a good statement necklace. They take an average typical outfit and can make it into something special. I love the mix of colours that are out now and the different types of textures that they're made out of too.

1. This necklace is so big you definitely will not miss it. It has different coloured metal chains mostly silver with a few gold thrown in and would look great against a plain black canvas. This is one I feel would be quite easy to wear as it would go with most things.

2. Necklace number 2 is possibly my favourite, I wasn't too sure about it when I first saw it but the more and more I see it, the more and more I love it. I love the mix of colours and beading. It feels quite ethnic and I love the shape on it!

3. Primark definitely keep upping their game and this is a necklace that I'm looking out for. I love the coloured cord and the clash with the metal and the spikes as well as the blue and red colour clash. This would really give a simple shirt a bit of edge!

4. The colour on this necklace is gorgeous, just a three simple stand out bright orange flowers. I really do just love the simplicity of it.

5. This necklace also has a bit or coloured cord- I'm really into this at the moment, it's quite nice to put on a necklace in the morning and not have its metal chain and hook cold on the back of your neck. I hate that! This necklace is more on the pretty girly side compared with others as it's a light baby pink but I love the mix of shaped rhinestones added to it.

6. Zara always have great statement necklaces and this is just one of them. I love the mix of blues, teals, turquoises and greens in this and I think it would make a brilliant piece to mix with an orange blouse and like in this picture it looks brilliant up against white so also a simple plain white dress too.

Are you a fan of good necklace? Do any of these take your fancy?

Weekly Update #2

Catching up on some of my favourite magazine // Oops! I accidentally on purpose fell into more shops // Birthday presents for my bestie
Rings // Me and my besties out having a drink // Hand Chain
Me and the birthday girl // New skirt ready to DIY tie-dye maybe // New Chanel Mascara sample

I hate my face in both of the photo's I'm in, I look miserable but I can assure you I had a great night. As I mentioned before, on monday me and my two best friends went out for one our best friends birthdays. We ended up going for some food and then a few drinks afterwards and had a blast! And she loved her presents too. I went shopping that morning and got a few bits for myself along with some bracelets to add to her presents also and then a skirt I bought on eBay a few days ago for a possible DIY tie-dye arrived yesterday along with a new Chanel mascara sample I can't wait to try.

Hope you've all had a nice weekend and enjoy bank holiday monday tomorrow!

OOTD: Work hard, play hard

Crop Top- Primark
Necklace- Matalan
Tube Skirt- Primark
Shoes- H&M

So as I'm sat here writing this post there is an extremely loud builder upstairs sawing, hammering and drilling. Argh... my ears are bleeding. Too much noise. We've been re-decorating the house for a while now and have recently had our bathroom done and so now its time for some new, fresh, up-to-date doors to be put in upstairs. But on to the post...
My hair looks a little crap in this photo, ugh. Anyway... this is the Primark tube skirt I mentioned, that I got for a mere £5 in the Dorothy Perkins Wish List Post the other day as it's exactly the same as the one in the post. It feels really thick and the colour is soo good. I'm hoping that the next shopping trip I have, they'll have some more in different colours as it's such a bargain. I picked the Matalan Neon Yellow Necklace to go with this outfit because I quite like a clash and it's not to dramatic and those shoes... oh those shoes... they've barely left my feet since I bought them.

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far!
