Beauty: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick

#220 Pink Chic- Baby Pink
#240 Latino- Coral Pink
#520 Violet Pop- Hot Pink/ Fuchsia
#850 Rouge- Bright Red

First off, these Rimmel lipsticks are probably my favourite lipstick out there. I have quite a few to say the least. These lipsticks are highly pigmented leaving an intense bright and vibrant colour. As you can see from the swatches the colour pay-off is really great and you don't really need to apply much to ged a good deal of colour. Like the lipsticks name suggests 'moisture renew', they are full of moisture and aren't drying on the lips at all. I find that they are pretty long lasting too which is brilliant is your one of those who hate to re-apply. You can get these lipstick in a whole variety of shades and they will usually cost around £6.29 from Boots and Superdrug. However, selected shades are available from Fragrance Direct for an incredible .99p! Yes, 99p. What are you waiting for!?
I couldn't recommend these lipsticks enough, I've got so many that I could probably do a Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick collection post!

In other news, sorry I've not posted since tuesday, I've had a really exciting and busy week! But that's a whole other story! I'm hoping to get two outfit posts ready from Tuesday night when I went on a night out and then Thursday day ready for you guys for tomorrow and monday. Anyway, I hope you've all had a great week too and let me know what you think about these lipsticks!

New In #11 & Beauty #10: MUA Power Pout & Lipstick

So yesterday my mum and I went into town for a little look around and I came home with a few bits from Superdrug. I bought all of this out of my advantage card points that I've been saving up for a while as I had an email the other day saying that my points were due to expire so spend them before they run out. According to the woman who served me, the points do not run out, even if you've had an email and should still be on your cards regardless, but don't take my word on it- ask first!
Anyway... I've been looking out for some orange and coral coloured lipsticks and knowing how cheap MUA's products are I decided to spend my points testing out their coraly/orange shades. Here's what I got:

MUA Power Pout:
MUA Power Pout: £3 each (On Offer 2 for £4)

First off were these Power Pout lip tint and balm lip crayons in shades #Broken Hearted and #Justify.
In all honesty, they're not as good as other lip crayons I've tried such as the Revlon ones as I feel you need to apply a lot for good pigment. They wear off quite quickly too in my opinion and although they do leave a tinted stain I don't feel like that bright intense pigment last that long, but if you don't mind topping up every now and then they should be fine for you. I wore it for around 1 hour and a half to 2 hours before I felt like I really needed to apply more. When applied generously is does leave you with a nice colour and shine that doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the lips. It's also got that same mint smell like the Revlon lip crayons too.
#Broken Hearted is a raspberry pink shade whilst #Justify is a red toned orange shade.

MUA Lipstick:

MUA Lipstick £1 each

Next up was this MUA Lipstick. I already own an MUA Lipstick in Shade 13 which is a gorgeous bright intense red colour and I love how great the quality of this lipstick is for just £1 so being on the hunt for the perfect coral/orange shade for summer I decided to give MUA's other shades a go. I picked up both Shade 15 Juicy and Shade 16 Nectar as they seemed like the colours that were the closest to orange. I am definitely not dissapointed, I LOVE these colours. I'm sooo glad I picked them up. Shade 15 Juicy is more of a peachy orange whilst Shade 16 Nectar is a much brighter shade of orange. These lipstick are very pigmented... like VERY pigmented. They apply so easily and glide on smoothly with lots of moisture and colour. Not only do you get the lipstick but if you twist the bottom off you also get the same shade only in a lip balm. How cool. For £1, they are amazing and dare I say it... even better than most of the more expensive lipsticks I've tried. I would definitely recommend trying these out for yourself!

#8 Beauty: L'oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick

L'oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick in #S404 Luminous Amber

When I bought this lipstick, I didn't really expect this colour. I don't know why but I was expecting something a bit more pink (despite the amber name) because of the colour shown on the website. However, I am not disappointed as I love a coral lip colour, and that is exactly what it is. It's a nice shade, perfect for summer as it's not too bright and in your face but at the same time is a lovely, wearable day-to-night shade. The coverage is good but build-able which is can be a good or bad thing depending on whether you want a really intense pigment straight away or if you want a light colour that you can add to or strengthen later. The lipstick itself has a serum in the middle and as a result gives a lot of moisture. This lipstick is not at all drying nor matte (what I usually like), it applys smoothly and glides on easily. It also feels lightweight on the lips, which is always a positive. I really like this lipstick and this is definitely one I'll be taking away with my on holiday.

#8 New In & #7 Beauty: Beauty Haul from Fragrance Direct

So I decided I wanted to get a few bits recently after browsing online at Fragrance Direct. The name suggests that they mainly sell perfumes which is true but I think some would be surprised to know that they also sell loads of make up too. They are a fantastic website in fairness as they sell make-up from the more expensive brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, Calvin Klein and Yves Saint Laurent as well as more high street drugstore brands such as Revlon, Rimmel and Max Factor at really EXCELLENT prices!

I plan on reviewing all of these individually so this post is just to show you what I bought!
Here goes...

Rimmel Moisure Renew Lipsticks in
#850 Rouge, #220 Pink Chic, #520 Violet Pop and #240 Latino

The first thing in the haul are these lipsticks from Rimmel costing just 0.99p! Such a bargain. I LOVE these lipsticks and have them in a whole load of colours so when I saw these ones online I just had to get them... and for 99p you can't really go wrong.

Maybelline 'Fit Me' Foundation in #110 Porcelain £4.50 (RRP £7.99)
Maybelline 'Fit Me' Pressed Powder in #110 Porcelain £3.99 (RRP 5.99)

I've been wanting to try Maybelline's 'Fit Me' range for a while now so when I saw these on the new in make up section on the website I had to click onto them straight away. I've been looking for the concealer too to get the whole set but they've not added those to the website yet, hopefully they'll be stocking them though.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in #3 Honey and #4 Plum £5.50 each (RRP £24.00)

MASSIVE saving on these... a whopping £18.50! I'm really into cream blushes at the moment like the rest of the blogging world and I've been fancying these for a while and finally toke the plunge. I would never, ever, ever spend £24.00 on a blush, it's just so not worth it to me but for £5.50 I wanted to give them a go, especially as they're quite high end to me. I love my drugstore make up brands so this was a bit of a treat.

L'oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick #S404 Luminous Amber £1.99 (RRP £8.69)

I saw a few swatches of this before I bought it and I quite liked the colour so thought I'd give it a go. I'm a massive lipstick fan and I'm always looking for a new colour or formula to try and liked the look of this. It's not something I'd usually go for with the serum in the middle as I love matte lipsticks but even if I'm not keen for £1.99 I can't really complain.

Invogue Feather Effect Nail Lacquer £2.50 each (RRP £3.49)

Invouge Concrete Effect Nail Lacquer £2.50 (RRP £3.49)

As well as being a huge lipstick fan I'm also a massive fan of nail colour, especially nail effects! They are so popular now with a whole variety of looks such as suede, beaded and magnetic styles as well as these concrete and feather effect ones I bought. I couldn't resist, even though Invogue is not a brand I've ever heard of before. They're also a much cheaper alternative to the Nails Inc ones which are around £11 a bottle.

Nivea Firming Body Lotion £3.99

Ok... so I didn't actually get this from Fragrance Direct, I've only just picked it up today to be honest in Home Bargains but I wanted to add it into this too. I've heard some good things about this body lotion but I'm not too sure, so I'm going to give it a try and get back to you. Firmer skin in just 2 weeks... we'll see!

Has anyone else used Fragrance Direct or bought any beauty products recently?

#6 Beauty: Maybelline ColorSensational Vivid Lipstick

#916 Neon Red, #910 Shocking Coral & #175 Pink Punch

£7.19 each

Available at:
Boots: Here (Vivids) [Buy one get one half price at the moment]
AND
Superdrug: Here (Vivids) & Here- #175 Pink Punch (Normal Range) [Also buy one get one half price]

As the title suggests these lipsticks are from the ColorSensational Vivids range of lipsticks by Maybelline. However, only the first 2 colours (Neon Red and Shocking Coral) are actually from that collection. Number #175 (Pink Punch) is NOT from the Vivid's collection but I've added it to this post as I think it goes well with the other two. The vivid's come in red packaging whilst the normal selection of colours come in different coloured cases to match the actually lip colour product (like the pink one shown). I really like the packaging, its simple and sleek with the silver, mirrored bottoms and I quite like that it's squared rather than a rounded tube shape that most other lipsticks seem to come in.
The lip colours are bright and highly pigmented, they glide on smoothly and evenly giving great coverage and the colour pay off is fantastic! They last a while and are not drying, in fact they are really creamy and feel soft and easy on the lips. I really love these lipsticks. I will definitely be buying more of them as they are just gorgeous! I'm dying to try out #888 Electric Orange next.

Have you tried them for yourselves? What do you think?
