New In #11 & Beauty #10: MUA Power Pout & Lipstick

So yesterday my mum and I went into town for a little look around and I came home with a few bits from Superdrug. I bought all of this out of my advantage card points that I've been saving up for a while as I had an email the other day saying that my points were due to expire so spend them before they run out. According to the woman who served me, the points do not run out, even if you've had an email and should still be on your cards regardless, but don't take my word on it- ask first!
Anyway... I've been looking out for some orange and coral coloured lipsticks and knowing how cheap MUA's products are I decided to spend my points testing out their coraly/orange shades. Here's what I got:

MUA Power Pout:
MUA Power Pout: £3 each (On Offer 2 for £4)

First off were these Power Pout lip tint and balm lip crayons in shades #Broken Hearted and #Justify.
In all honesty, they're not as good as other lip crayons I've tried such as the Revlon ones as I feel you need to apply a lot for good pigment. They wear off quite quickly too in my opinion and although they do leave a tinted stain I don't feel like that bright intense pigment last that long, but if you don't mind topping up every now and then they should be fine for you. I wore it for around 1 hour and a half to 2 hours before I felt like I really needed to apply more. When applied generously is does leave you with a nice colour and shine that doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the lips. It's also got that same mint smell like the Revlon lip crayons too.
#Broken Hearted is a raspberry pink shade whilst #Justify is a red toned orange shade.

MUA Lipstick:

MUA Lipstick £1 each

Next up was this MUA Lipstick. I already own an MUA Lipstick in Shade 13 which is a gorgeous bright intense red colour and I love how great the quality of this lipstick is for just £1 so being on the hunt for the perfect coral/orange shade for summer I decided to give MUA's other shades a go. I picked up both Shade 15 Juicy and Shade 16 Nectar as they seemed like the colours that were the closest to orange. I am definitely not dissapointed, I LOVE these colours. I'm sooo glad I picked them up. Shade 15 Juicy is more of a peachy orange whilst Shade 16 Nectar is a much brighter shade of orange. These lipstick are very pigmented... like VERY pigmented. They apply so easily and glide on smoothly with lots of moisture and colour. Not only do you get the lipstick but if you twist the bottom off you also get the same shade only in a lip balm. How cool. For £1, they are amazing and dare I say it... even better than most of the more expensive lipsticks I've tried. I would definitely recommend trying these out for yourself!

#9 New In: Holiday/Sale Haul Part 1: Clothes: Primark, Topshop, River Island, Dorothy Perkins & H&M

I've bought quite a few bits over the last 2 or 3 weeks ready for summer and my little holiday abroad (Don't know if you've noticed already but I cannot wait!!!), so I've added them all together and then split them into two parts. The first (This one) will include all of the clothing items I've bought, whilst the second part will be full of the shoes and accessories I've bought. A lot of what I bought was mainly on sale, so I saved quite a bit of money. Hope you enjoy!

Dorothy Perkins:
£45,  £21.25 (With Student Discount)
I've been wanting this blazer/ jacket for ages, but I didn't really know whether to get it or not due to it's £45 price tag and the fact that for that amount of money I wasn't sure if I'd get my wear out of it. However, I popped into the store a few days ago and there it was, only two available, one in a size 16 and one in a size 8, reduced to £25 in the sale. I had to have it! I got 15% student discount off it too, which is always a plus so I'm really glad I picked is up. It's not really a blazer for holidays as it would be too warm, but I thought I'd add it in on the basis that I've not got anything else to put in another post with it.

H&M:
£21.99,  £7
I found this cute little skirt by itself on the end of a rack in h&m and picked it up straight away. I loved the little cut-out aztec design on it and the fringing and it was really cheap. I thought it would be a nice addition to my holiday wardrobe.

 Topshop:
(Not sure of the before sale price) £18
I wasn't too sure about this when I saw it first because it's not really a colour I've ever worn before, it kinda scares me a bit, however, I saw another blogger wearing it and it looked lovely on her so I picked it to try. I love the cut-outs in the back of the dress, and it's nice and bright for summer.

£8, £5
I'm starting to get a little obsessed with crop tops to be honest and this was cheap so I picked it up. They're comfy and easy to wear and are perfect for just throwing on when on holidays.

(Not sure of the before sale price) £7.20
I'd noticed this crop top a while back and really fancied it so when I saw it on sale, I picked it up. I love the black and white monochrome and the shape of it as well as the mesh sleeves and panelling.

(Not sure of the before sale price), £9
If only this had said 1993. It's a year before my time unfortunately, but nevertheless, I love tube skirts and I'd seen this one online and wanted to buy it but I had sold out. When I went into store and found it  next to the grey crop top I picked it up happily. I've been really into neons and florescent colours recently, which is not like me at all as I've always hated anything neon but I really liked this. I don't think it's too OTT.

(Not sure of the before sale price), £9
Again, another tube skirt I've had my eye on for ages. I picked up the crop top to match this too but put it back after it not having my size and I didn't really know if it suited me or not. I loved to think I could pull it off as a two-piece but I'm not quite sure. Anyway this skirt cost me £10, and I got student discount off of it too, so that knocked it down to £9. Bargain.

 Primark:
£6
These oversized varsity/ baseball tops seem to be all the rage now and after buying two myself recently, I nipped back in to Primark and found myself this one as well. I love the colour of it and this one is mesh so is really breathable and light. I like it!

£3
Simple plain dark grey crop top. I'll proabably pair this with the shorts that are coming up soon as you scroll down and with a statement necklace or something. It's just really simple and easy to wear....
...like this one too! This was only £2 so I wasn't going to leave it. Again, quick and easy, simple plain black colour. Will go with anything, shorts, short skirts, maxi skirts. Perfect for holidays.

£12
I love, love, love, love, love, love, LOVVEEEE these shorts. How awesome are they! The red ombre fringing detail really caught my eye as soon as I'd walked into Primark the other day. I just had to have them. They're really comfy too. I'd pair these with a simple crop top or vest as the shorts really do the talking themselves. They're quite a statement piece with such a bold colour. I cannot wait to wear them!

£12
I thought these shorts we're really cute. The embellished flowers just made the shorts look really pretty, even with the distressed denim ends. Again, I pair these shorts with a simple plain top as the shorts look  like the main focus point with the embellishment. I just though they were really nice. A great addition to my holiday wardrobe.
£4
I love the colour and aztec print on this bikini top. I couldn't find the bottoms in my size but I'm not too bothered as I have plenty of bikini's for my holiday (almost one for every day!) and I thought I could wear this as a little bralette-type-crop-top anyway. It think it would look great with some shorts and a kimono on top. I love the little cut-out detail on the front too.

River Island:
£20
Playsuits are really easy to wear and look effortless. I love the print and colour on this and it's nice and loose and the material feels quite floaty when on. Perfect with some black or nude sandals, lots of arm jewellery, a big sun hat. I think this would make the perfect outfit for shopping around in the stalls and little markets you find on holidays.

It's been absolutely boiling today and still is. I've been outside in the garden sunbathing and trying to get a bit of a tan before I go away so that I'm not the palest person on holidays! haha. I probably will be though, I'm one of those that is really pale and then goes immediately bright red. Joy!
Hope you've all had a fantastic day soaking up the sun.

#8 New In & #7 Beauty: Beauty Haul from Fragrance Direct

So I decided I wanted to get a few bits recently after browsing online at Fragrance Direct. The name suggests that they mainly sell perfumes which is true but I think some would be surprised to know that they also sell loads of make up too. They are a fantastic website in fairness as they sell make-up from the more expensive brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, Calvin Klein and Yves Saint Laurent as well as more high street drugstore brands such as Revlon, Rimmel and Max Factor at really EXCELLENT prices!

I plan on reviewing all of these individually so this post is just to show you what I bought!
Here goes...

Rimmel Moisure Renew Lipsticks in
#850 Rouge, #220 Pink Chic, #520 Violet Pop and #240 Latino

The first thing in the haul are these lipsticks from Rimmel costing just 0.99p! Such a bargain. I LOVE these lipsticks and have them in a whole load of colours so when I saw these ones online I just had to get them... and for 99p you can't really go wrong.

Maybelline 'Fit Me' Foundation in #110 Porcelain £4.50 (RRP £7.99)
Maybelline 'Fit Me' Pressed Powder in #110 Porcelain £3.99 (RRP 5.99)

I've been wanting to try Maybelline's 'Fit Me' range for a while now so when I saw these on the new in make up section on the website I had to click onto them straight away. I've been looking for the concealer too to get the whole set but they've not added those to the website yet, hopefully they'll be stocking them though.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in #3 Honey and #4 Plum £5.50 each (RRP £24.00)

MASSIVE saving on these... a whopping £18.50! I'm really into cream blushes at the moment like the rest of the blogging world and I've been fancying these for a while and finally toke the plunge. I would never, ever, ever spend £24.00 on a blush, it's just so not worth it to me but for £5.50 I wanted to give them a go, especially as they're quite high end to me. I love my drugstore make up brands so this was a bit of a treat.

L'oreal Color Riche Serum Lipstick #S404 Luminous Amber £1.99 (RRP £8.69)

I saw a few swatches of this before I bought it and I quite liked the colour so thought I'd give it a go. I'm a massive lipstick fan and I'm always looking for a new colour or formula to try and liked the look of this. It's not something I'd usually go for with the serum in the middle as I love matte lipsticks but even if I'm not keen for £1.99 I can't really complain.

Invogue Feather Effect Nail Lacquer £2.50 each (RRP £3.49)

Invouge Concrete Effect Nail Lacquer £2.50 (RRP £3.49)

As well as being a huge lipstick fan I'm also a massive fan of nail colour, especially nail effects! They are so popular now with a whole variety of looks such as suede, beaded and magnetic styles as well as these concrete and feather effect ones I bought. I couldn't resist, even though Invogue is not a brand I've ever heard of before. They're also a much cheaper alternative to the Nails Inc ones which are around £11 a bottle.

Nivea Firming Body Lotion £3.99

Ok... so I didn't actually get this from Fragrance Direct, I've only just picked it up today to be honest in Home Bargains but I wanted to add it into this too. I've heard some good things about this body lotion but I'm not too sure, so I'm going to give it a try and get back to you. Firmer skin in just 2 weeks... we'll see!

Has anyone else used Fragrance Direct or bought any beauty products recently?

#7 New In: ASOS Haul Feat. MinkPink, River Island & New Look

Mahooosive Asos Haul
[Warning: This post is picture heavy and contains a lot of colour and print!]

I really hope you like haul posts as this is a big one. I've been meaning to post this for a while now and have finally gotten around to sorting it out. I can't wait to show you all what I got because I really love the stuff I got!
So two or three weeks ago Asos held a special offer day where students got 20% off their shop. Being a savvy shopper, I'd been putting quite a few items into my 'saved items' section on the website and went for gold when the offer was made available.

Clothing:

Mixed Print Trousers- Asos

Over the last few weeks I have been a massive fan of printed trousers and these are just another pair to add to my collection. I absolutely love the bright blue on there with the clashing red and contrasting orange and purple print down the sides and on the waist band. They are so light and comfy and are just perfect!

Paisley Print Midi Skirt- Asos

This skirt isn't something I would normally go for but I loved it on the model on ASOS as it was wore in a really casual but cool way. I love the mix of ethnical and paisley print and the coral and pink colours in it.

2 Scarf Print Tube Skirts- Asos

How perfect are these skirts! I love the mix and clashing of colours and print on the both of them. They fit like gloves and really suck you in. The second one is a thicker material than the first so has better hold and is my favourite out of both. I think I'll be wearing on of these on a night out soon with my girls and taking them on holidays with me (If I get one booked that is!).

'Petite' Swing Crop Top- Asos
Buttoned Lace Midi Skirt- River Island via Asos

Both of these items make a great pair. The top is a swing top so is really floaty and loose, perfect for summer holidays but it exclusive to the 'petite' range at Asos only and as a result is a very short crop. The skirt is from River Island on Asos and is quite similar to the last green midi lace skirt I bought from Miss Selfridge that I featured in one of the other new in posts I've done. Nevertheless I really like it, and as I said before looks great with the crop top.

'Chelsea Girl' Fringed Kimono- River Island via Asos

Probably my favourite piece from the haul is this amazing kimono from the Chelsea Girl Collection at River Island via Asos. It is just perfect. I love the embroidery, print, the colours and the fringing. I can't wait to wear this! It's definitely coming with me on holidays! I'm really loving kimono's at the moment, they are so easy to wear and can make a great statement.

'Chelsea Girl' Cut Out Playsuit- River Island via Asos

Another from River Island via Asos and from the Chelsea Girl Collection is this playsuit. I love the embroidered print yet again, which is almost the same as the print on the kimono and the cut out detail it has too. Another that's destined for a holiday abroad!

Distant Traveller Print Palazzo Pants- MinkPink via Asos

How amazing are these!!!!!! I spotted Vanessa Hudgens wearing these when I was flicking through some stuff online and she looked really good in them and was my main inspiration for buying them. They definitely make a statement! The legs are huge and massively floaty but don't feel heavy when worn at all, though I definitely need to get the sewing kit out and shorten them. I love the lilac colour and print and the low waist on them.

Accessories:
Initial 'L' Beanie- Asos

It's a beanie, it has an L on it, what more can I say? It's really cute!

'Love' Ear Cuff- Asos

As I've said before, I am a huge lover of ear cuffs and having short hair like I have is perfect for showing them off. It's a really cute piece to add to my ever growing collection.

Rose Gold Pinky Ring- Asos

This pinky ring is just adorable! Rose Gold is still my favourite colour for jewellery and has been massive over the last year. I've said loads of times that I'm a huge fan of rings and as well as getting this ring I also got these...

Set of 8 Gold Rings- Asos

These make the perfect addition to any ring collection as there are great for stacking up and mixing and matching. They come in a range of widths and will jazz up your hands in a matter of seconds! Love them.

Nude Winged Handbag- New Look via Asos

Last but not least is this 'New Look' bag. I love it, it's a lovely Nude colour, has winged sides and is very spacious and has lots of room inside. It has a zip compartment inside as well as a small pocket to fit your phone in. Comes with a longer, over the shoulder strap too. Makes a nice change from black and brown bags as its lighter for summer.

Asos definitely have some amazing pieces online right now and I know it's really bad, but my saved items is full again. What's a girl to do ey? And how awesome is it that they are stocking Primark items now. I think it's a fantastic idea!

It's been a while coming but I really hope you've liked my haul. Have you bought anything from Asos recently?
