#9 Nails: Nails Inc Richmond & Models Own Blizzard

Under: Nails Inc- Richmond
Top Coat: Models Own- Blizzard

Recently I've been thinking about which nail polishes to take away with me on holidays and this combination is one I think would look great during the hot summer nights partying on the strip or on the beach. The sun setting and glistening over the iridescent segment in the Models Own polish would definitely stand out and look gorgeous in the light. I really love this combination and it looks sooo much better in real life.

What do you guys think?

#8 Nails: Invogue Matt Concrete Effect Nail Laquer

Invogue Matt Concrete Effect Nail Laquer in Spellbound (Red) & Black Magic (Black)
Buy HERE From Fragrance Direct
£2.50 (RRP £3.49)

Hey guys, was a little change of plan today as I was going to do an outfit post after going out for a family meal for my mum's birthday, however, we've decided to leave this until monday maybe (though I'll probably have an outfit post before that as we're going out partying tomorrow night too! Wooo!) because of work reasons.

So.. Anyway... I've decided to post a nails post today instead.
I've been really excited to show you guys these as I think they are fantastic! Nails Inc have been brilliant coming up with different types of nail effect polish and I've managed to track down some cheaper alternatives. I'd never heard of the brand Invogue before visiting the Fragrance Direct but as soon as I saw them I really wanted to get my hands on them because I'd not seen ones like this for such a great price. These polishes cost me just 2.50 each (RRP £3.49) from Fragrance Direct website. You can get them HERE and they make a massive saving from the Nails Inc ones that cost around £11 for one bottle.

First off both the texture, colour and after effect is soooo good! I love how bright the red one is and the black one looks fantastic with the effect. It took just one coat of polish to get the colour and effect and for that, I think it is brilliant. I was a bit dubious when painting them as the texture just didn't look like it was applying at first. And then it dried. I sat there for a few good minutes after just feeling them because I couldn't believe how well they'd turned out considering the price. They only thing I would say is to watch out just incase the nails skag your clothes, other than that they are great.
I would completely recommend getting these if they take your fancy!

What do you think of them?

#7 Nails: Nails Inc Wimbledon

Nails Inc Wimbledon

This was a quite a difficult one to photograph, the first time I took the pictures they came out looking like a horrible shade of dark brown/green but I think this lot of photo's have captured the true likeness of the polish.
Anyway... in homage to the Wimbledon Tennis Tournaments that have started today and being held for the next two weeks, I thought I'd post this nails post today. As you can see this polish is inspired by the grass/ tennis balls at Wimbledon and is a pale lime-green-yellow-colour.
I've think I've only worn this colour once, maybe twice as I don't really think it suits my skin tone. My mum absolutely hates is too, haha.

Does anyone plan on watching the tennis this year? or like the colour of this polish even?

#6 Nails: Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish: Orange Attack & Electric Yellow

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish
#341 Orange Attack & # 749 Electric Yellow
7ml
£2.99 each

These polishes apply evenly with a lot of colour and finish glossy. The nails above have only had one quick coat of polish and in my opinion look really good considering I usually apply two. The colours are bright and summery [though I still prefer the neon yellow from Models Own to this yellow] as I don't think it suits my skin tone. The orange on the other hand is one I really like. The bottles are smaller than the ones I would usually pick up with only 7ml instead but I don't mind as they are quite bag friendly, easy enough to take with you on the go and cheap enough for you to not worry if you lose it. For £2.99, these nail polishes are brilliant and with a huge range of colours to choose from there is definitely a shade to suit you.

What do you think? Have you tried Maybelline's Color Show Nail Polish?

#5 Nails: Nails Inc Wellington Square

Nails Inc Wellington Square

Nails Inc Wellington Square is a gorgeous soft peachy/orange shade that applies easily and dries quickly leaving a glossy finish. Two coats did the trick. Its part of the Nails Inc Colour Collection for spring/summer back in 2011 but is still a shade that's proving very popular! It's more of a colour for spring really but I still think this shade would sit perfectly during summer and would look fantastic with a tan too. I love it!

I'm really into peaches and oranges at the moment not just on nails but I'm looking out for more peachy/coral-y tones of lipsticks too.
Can anyone recommend anything?

#4 Nails: Models Own- Luis Lemon

Models Own- Luis Lemon
From the Ice Neon Collection

How bright is this? Argh, it's sooo nice! This colour nail polish was the stand out polish for me when I popped into Boots a few weeks ago to pick up some bits and pieces when they had their 3 for 2 promotion. Neon yellow again! Got me in the mood for summer and looking forward to wearing more colour. The colour is packed into a frosted bottle and is intended to be kept cold in the fridge so that the colour will stay as fluorescent and intense and to protect it from fading. I've not done this... I don't think the family would be too happy going in for something yummy and having my nail polish's stood everywhere and so it's just kept in my nail polish stand and hasn't faded at all yet, so all is well! Good good. The only downfall I think this has, is that the finish is matte, whereas I prefer a more glossy look. Nevertheless, a top coat will do the trick and I will be picking up some more of the neons next time I'm out shopping.

What do you think of these bright neon colours?

#3 Nails: Nails Inc Oxford

Nails Inc- Oxford

Nails Inc has got to be my all time favourite nail polish brand. I've used it for years. Their polishes are always easy to apply, have really good quality coverage, dry quickly and have a glossy professional finish. I'm really loving the pastel shades that are around at the moment and this is currently one of my favourite colours- a light baby blue. It's one of those that is easy to wear and goes with a lot because it's not too bright and 'in your face' and is quite light and very wearable and again perfect for spring and summer. This polish comes from the 'Candy Shop Collection' which is actually about 2 years old now I believe, but it just goes to show that good colours and trends will always come back around.

#2 Nails: Models Own- Grape Juice

Models Own- Grape Juice
From the 'Pastel Collection'

Well,... I must admit I am pleasantly surprised... this polish is from the Models Own 'Pastel Collection' and is scented. Scented?... If you say so, so I thought. After you get past the varnish smell (which does take some time) when you first apply I have to admit I was quite shocked to find that it does actually smell of 'grape'. The polish itself glides on smoothly though I did need to apply 2/3 coats, but that's just like any other polish really. It looks lovely and glossy and is gorgeous for spring/summer. I'm hoping to pick up the mint green (Apple Pie) and blue (Blueberry Muffin) ones next.

Do any of these colours take your fancy?
