Make your own rings
I am a huge fan of rings! Big ones, small ones, midi ones, ones for your thumb, ones for your pinky... basically what ever ring you can get, I've probably got it. So I decided I would give it a little go and make my own. They are soooo easy to make, ridiculously cheap and can be made in a matter of minutes. Here's how it's done...
What you will need:
1) Some rounded measuring tools such as a pen or make up brush etc.
2) Coloured wire (I used Cooper and Ivory)
3) Pliers
4) Nail file
First off you will need to take your wire and wrap it around your rounded measuring tool what ever it may be (I used a sharpie pen for the spiral ring as I wanted it for my little finger)...
Take your pliers and cut it once you've decided on what size you want... once cut down you need to take your nail file and file down the edges so that they're not rough or sharp and don't catch onto your clothes!...
...And Voila! You're done and have your own diy spiral ring! Easy right!?
The others in the photo are just as simple to create... more simple in fact as you don't have to keep wrapping the wire around...
Wrap the wire around your finger to measure it and cut to size with your pliers...
...after being cut, keep your pliers and bend the edges up...
...and there you have it!
(Just remember to use your nail file again to make sure the edges are smooth and not sharp)
The other ones are just plain round band rings made in the same copper colour as well as the ivory colour... they are so simple and look effortlessly chic. You can easily wear as many as you like and stack the up. I think they are really cute.
There are your rings!
I bought my wire off eBay for £1.50 for 4m of each colour, they are so cheap! You can also get this sort of stuff off Amazon and craft shops and they are available in all sorts of colours too such as gold, copper, silver and ivory.
I really hope you liked this little diy ring tutorial... if you give it a go, post a comment to let me know... I'd love to see what rings you make and how you got on!
